Oscillating wind sounds represents the ticking of the bomb attached to the bridge rope; this is joined by a second layer of oscillation (higher-pitched) as a second time bomb is attached to the other rope; strong brass flares and pounding timpani add to the tension; layered of top of this is an ascending string gesture as Mario scales the hill away from the bombs - ending on a sustained high string tremolo as he reaches the top of the hill |
