Alan sings "Isn't This a Night for Love" to Laurie on the deck of the ship as they look at the moon, accompanied by the orchestra; it's possible to assume that he is singing along with the on-ship orchestra rather than the film orchestra; the starts improbably form themselves into a musical staff [!] - treble clef, G major (no time signature but implied 3/4); the pitches are G | A A F# | A (all quarter notes); the music notation is presented in time with his sung phrase "with our hearts in time" but although the key and the melodic contour is correct, the pitches and notated rhythms are not (his pitches are F# F# F# C# | F# in 4/4); his voice is not particularly mellifluous
